ACS in SL is a purpose driven podcast hosted by Trager Alter and Purelife Magnifico, spotlighting some of the many incredible people inside the virtual world of Second Life who are volunteering their time and talents to benefit the American Cancer Society.
In each episode, we pierce the metaverse zeitgeist to visit with real world people doing extraordinary things in a digital space - building community, raising funds, and taking action to help end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Every Cancer. Every Life.
Trager Alter has been involved in many areas of Second Life over the last 17 years, including rental community development, live artist venue owner and content creator. It was not until he became involved with ACS in SL that he found the true outlet for his passion to be creative and give back in a meaningful and consequential way.
PureLife Magnifico came into Second Life in 2009 and immediately got involved in the virtual music scene and club ownership. In 2011, PureLife lost his sister to breast cancer. He has been involved in the American Cancer Society (ACS) ever since through both Relay for Life and Strides campaigns. He has volunteered in various capacities, including as a fund-raiser, a builder, and an on-air radio host. PureLife currently is the lead for ACS Radio in Second Life.
